Three bandits killed in alleged police encounter

Karachi: Three bandits were killed in an alleged encounter with police in North Karachi in the city on Saturday. Khawaja Ajmair Nagri police said that six bandits barged into Naushad’s house in North Karachi, Sector III near Rehmania Morr and held the family members on hostage at gunpoint. The bandits started looting the valuables from the inmates but in the meantime, the local people informed the police at 15 police helpline about the robbery.

The police rushed to the scene and intercepted the bandits over which they opened firing on them. The police retaliated the fire. During exchange of firing for some time, three bandits were killed, however, their three accomplices managed to flee under the cover of firing.

The bodies were moved to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital ASH for medicolegal formalities. The identity of those killed could not be ascertained yet.
