Ubauro: The excise police team foiled a terrorism plan seizing suicide jackets, hand grenades, rockets, launchers and other arms and ammunition from a truck at Sindh-Punjab border near Ubauro on Thursday noon. The arms ammunition were being transported in a truck from Waziristan to Karachi.
The excise police team headed by Inspector Zulfiqar Shaikh spotted a suspected truck number TKD-584. During the search the excise team found hand grenades, suicide jackets, rockets, launchers and other arms and ammunition covered by a quilt.
The excise police arrested two accused Ghulam Hyder and Riaz Hussain hailing from Waziristan. The bomb disposal squad has been called from Sukkur after which the actual number of suicide jackets and other explosive material could be ascertained.
