Upper Chitral: A three-day Shandur Polo Festival began in the valley of district Upper Chitral on Friday. Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif inaugurated the festival.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Shandur Polo Festival is being jointly organized by Pakistan Army, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority, District Administration Chitral Lower and Upper Chitral. The festival will feature polo matches played between traditional competitors, the Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral teams, at the highest polo ground in Shandur, Chitral.
The event also includes various programs such as paragliding, food stalls, music programs, and traditional dances. Foreign and local tourists from across the country have gathered in Shandur valley to witness the programs and competitions of the festival.
