Rally for reopening closed schools in Thatta
Thatta: Wahdat Network, a non-government organization, organized a rally here on Friday for reopening of schools lying closed in District Thatta since long.
Rally started from Edhi center and marched to Press club through national highway. Aziz Sarwan, Rasheed Ahmed Jakhro and Rehmat Ullah Chhuto led the rally with participation of large number of students holding placards.
Speakers said that teachers were not available in 733 schools of district Thatta due to which children were not getting education. They said that favored people were appointed as teachers who were not interested in education.
They said that literacy rate would decrease if the situation will go on in future in District Thatta.
