Punjab CM Launches Rahmat Card Programme for Financial Aid

Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif today inaugurated the 'Rahmat Card Programme' aimed at providing financial assistance to widows and orphan children.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the inauguration, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring transparency, fairness, and adherence to merit in utilizing Zakat funds under this initiative. The programme is designed to support vulnerable segments of society by offering them financial aid.

Earlier, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Rashid Iqbal Nasrullah briefed the participants about the programme. He announced that a significant amount of five thousand million rupees has been allocated from the provincial Zakat Fund to finance this initiative. The programme aims to benefit fifty thousand widows and orphan children, each receiving one hundred thousand rupees.

Nasrullah further explained that applications for the Rahmat Card can be submitted via a dedicated mobile application or through the official web portal. Additionally, a helpline has been set up at 1077 to provide further information to the public.
