Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that PTI fully supports deployment of army at sensitive polling stations across the country.
While talking to media persons here after meeting with CEC, he claimed that the Chief Election Commissioner CEC Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim has accepted their request and army would be deployed at sensitive polling stations across the country.
“Today we put forward our proposals in respect with upcoming elections to CEC and we have complete faith in the sitting Chief Election Commissioner,” he added. The cricketer-turned-politician has said that he discussed various administrative issues pertaining to much awaited general elections with CEC.
Answering a question PTI Chief said that most of the sitting members of Parliament had failed to submit their tax remittances and added his party demanded a proper disclosure of their assets.
He alleged that ruling parties have already started their election campaign and involved in providing schemes to the general population by spending public’s own money. He said that excessive money was being spent by PPP and PMLN and adding that two parties had kicked off developmental projects as elections draw nearer.
Responding another question Khan claimed that cases were being registered against PTI leaders in Punjab to victimize them. He suggested that voters’ list should be posted on election commission’s website after final corrections.
