Islamabad: The people of Pakistan have expressed a strong and unequivocal stance in support of armed forces' successful operation against terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan and against Afghan propaganda.
According to Radio Pakistan, the public opinion reflects that Pakistan's Armed Forces, through effective action against terrorist hideouts, have ensured the protection of the nation, and this step was inevitable for establishing peace in the country.
They emphasized that the operation by Armed Forces is a clear proof that Pakistan has the capability to go to any extent to defend its territory. The people from various regions of the country expressed their determination that the entire nation stands with the armed forces in the fight against terrorism and will not allow any external conspiracy to succeed.
They also highlighted that targeting innocent civilian population is not a practice of Pakistan or its armed forces, which always observes international norms and humanitarian values. The people said allegations of targeting civilian population are mere false and misleading propaganda with no connection to reality. Accusations coming from Afghanistan are, in fact, an attempt to divert attention from their own failures, whereas the real issue is the presence of terrorist elements.
According to public opinion, Pakistan, as a responsible state, always prioritizes peace but will not compromise on its sovereignty and security.
