Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday issued notice to Secretary Sindh Education and Literacy Department and Director General of Colleges Sindh in an application against non-compliance of Ombudsman’s order regarding the issue of non-payment of salary to applicant.
The applicant Farzana Naz, moved court through application, submitting she had been performing her duties as Naib Qasid at Government Girls College Korangi no.6 Karachi since 25-01-2007.
She submitted that she was issued services identity card under signature of principal of college. However, she added that since her appointment till date she had not been paid her salary, although she had been performing duty regularly and availed any leave during her whole service.
Applicant submitted that she had complained to Provincial Ombudsman Sindh regarding her matter, who in his order dated 31 May 2012 directed Secretary Education and Literacy Department to immediately regularize the services of the complainant as Naib Qasid and ensure payment of salaries to her along with other benefits.
Applicant stated that she along with copy of order had approached to Secretary Education and Literacy department, who referred her to the Director General Colleges.
She submitted that the director general refused to obey orders regarding her job regularization and salary payment.
Chief Justice of SHC, Mushir Alam on Thursday converted application into constitutional petition and put secretary education and literacy department, director general colleges, and provincial law officer on notice and fixed this matter for hearing before services bench.
