Majority of Pakistanis think water should be drunk before starting a meal, POLL

Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, majority of Pakistanis (56%) think water should be drunk before starting a meal. A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, should water be drunk before starting a meal, after the meal or in between the meal?” Responding to this, 56% said before starting the meal, 21% said during the meal, 13% gave no particular preference, and 10% said after the meal.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2679 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during November 11, 2012 – November 17, 2012. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
