Leah Gutierrez Appointed Director General for ADB’s Central and West Asia Department

Manila: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed Leah Gutierrez as the Director General for its Central and West Asia Department. In her new role, Ms. Gutierrez will spearhead ADB’s strategic initiatives across the Central and West Asia region, starting from today.

According to Asian Development Bank, Ms. Gutierrez will be responsible for engaging with 11 countries, including Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Her leadership will focus on advancing ADB’s agenda of inclusive growth, regional cooperation, and sustainable development throughout these nations.

Ms. Gutierrez expressed her dedication to her new role, stating, “I am honored to serve in this position and will continue to engage with developing member countries and stakeholders to promote inclusive growth, regional cooperation, and sustainable development across the region.”
