Karachi: Karachi Water & Sewerage Board KWSB has speed up the process to improve the revenue and recovery. A high level meeting chaired by Managing Director KW&SB Misbahuddin Farid was held to discuss important matters and schedule the homework for the Year of Revenue 2013.

Deputy Managing Director Revenue Waqar Hashmi, Director Bulk, Director Retail, Director Industrial Area, Deputy Directors and officers of Meter Division were also present on this occasion.

It was emphasized during the meeting that the revenue and recovery during 2013 must be doubled with hard work and efforts. A survey report of under construction multi story buildings must be formulated and the report must be submitted to M.D Secretariat within 15 days.

During the meeting it was observed that despite excellent water and sewerage supply network in the industrial areas various industries are not yet registered on the Tax Net. Therefore it was decided that Discount Packages must be introduced to bring more industries on the network.

M.D KW&SB directed the attendees that it is vital for the economic stability of the department that swift supply to the industrial consumers must be ensured and the directors must activate all procedures through the employees to increase the ratio of recovery.

Working for a permanent solution to the economic crises in the institution he directed that the recovery from industrial, trade and bulk consumers must be increased.

M.D KW&SB has appealed from the citizens of Karachi to pay their water bills on time saying that complaints by defaulting consumers would not be catered. KW&SB would only be able to cater the consumers paying their dues.
