Khyber Levies parade held in Landi kotal

LANDIKOTAL: The 2nd batch of Levy Force’s passing out parade of 81 recruits of Khyber Levy Force was held here in forces’ cantonment of tehsil Landi kotal here on Friday.

Besides, the Assistant Political Agent (APA) as chief guest, Frontier Corp (FC) officials,scores of tribal elders and relatives of the troops participated in the ceremony. The chief guest examined the parade and administered oath to the new recruits.

Addressing on the occasion the chief guest congratulated the new cadets to be a part of Khyber Levy Force and urged them to execute their duties with honesty and dedication in the uncertain situation prevailing in the area. It is need of the time to impart modern techniques of training to the new troops so that they could cope with the situation, he added.

The government will leave no stone unturned to work for the betterment of the Levy Force, he remarked. He thanked the Commandant FC for his support and also praised the hard work of trainers who trained the new cadets in the best possible way to serve the masses. Prizes including cash were bestowed upon the instructors and shinning cadets. Momin Khan Afridi was awarded best cadet prize.

At the end the new passing recruits presented salute to the chief guest while passing in front of the stage. APA Landikotal urged the cadets to play their role now for the establishment of durable in the peace. Commandant FC Col Fayaz later on a tea
party arranged in the honours of the guests observed that the forces have arrested the miscreants, who had been allegedly involved in the IEDs blasts in Khyber area in Landikotal,

Adding that a suspect has also been detained from Torkham border. Peace would be established at any cost in the area, FC Commandant vowed. He also lauded the services of the Khyber Khasadar Force and Khyber Levy Force in the area to create peace.
