ISLAMABAD: Mobilink Foundation celebrated “Pakistan Day” by conducting a clean-up activity here on Trail3 of the Margalla Hills, Islamabad. The activity involved nearly 150 participants, including Mobilink Torchbearers (employee volunteers), their families and students from the Pehli Kiran Schools.
The environment friendly activity was aimed at promoting the need to preserve Pakistan’s natural habitats. The activity also marked Mobilink Foundation’s dedication to promoting a healthier lifestyle, with Mobilink employees and their families participating in the clean-up of Trail 3 from the base all the way to the top of the Margalla Hills.
The initiative promoted national identity and pride through the participation of students from the Pehli Kiran School network for the trek as a means of including them in the celebrations of Pakistan Day and providing them an opportunity to participate in an outdoor activity, said a press statement issued by Mobilink Foundation here Tuesday.
Omar Manzur, Head of Corporate Communications, Mobilink shared his views on the occasion, saying that March 23 is a day to emphasize our commitment and dedication to Pakistan.
