Govt utilizes resources to develop backward areas: Humayun

Peshawar: Government is utilizing all resources to develop backward and neglected areas, said Engr. Humayun, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance.

He was addressing a public gathering at Nallo- Gunyar near Thana, District Malakand the other day. Ex-MPA Ghani Muhammad and PPP Tehsil Chairman Muhammad Sadeeq also spoke while president, Suzuki Transport Union Shah Zaman along with his supported announced joining the PPP.

Minister said that history was testimony to the fact that whenever PPP came into power it worked for the prosperity and welfare of the downtrodden people.

He added that during the last five years unprecedented development works have been carried out in the area. He said Rs. 600 million have been spent in UC Thana, Rs. 421 million in UC Palai and Rs. 198 million in UC Dheri Alladhand which was record.

Referring to the problems of the area, the Minister announced Rs. 4million for the provision of playground, acquisition of land for graveyard and pavement of streets.
