Govt to ensure provision of all basic civic facilities to Federal Capital: Asad Umar

Minister for Planning Asad Umar says the government is working on a single regulatory and governance system for the whole Federal Capital to ensure provision of all basic civic facilities to its residents.

Talking to media in Islamabad today (Wednesday), along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CDA Affairs Ali Nawaz Awan, after inauguration of moon soon plantation campaign, he said that single regulatory system is very necessary to address the problems of citizens and to ensure quality civic facilities to them.

He said the Prime Minister will soon formally approve the large-scale development projects for Islamabad

He said four new hospitals will be constructed in Islamabad to strengthen health care system while a water line system of 100 million gallon daily is being constructed to address the water shortage.

He said legislation against illegal housing societies is also being made to address the grievances of affected citizens.

Asad Umar appealed the general public to fully participate in the drive for green Pakistan.
