Lahore: Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Punjab says the flow of water is normal in the rivers across the province.
According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement, the DG PDMA mentioned that due to the ongoing rains, water levels in the rivers are gradually rising but there is no threat of flooding at present. He reassured the public that the situation is under control and there is no immediate cause for concern.
He further explained that during the next 24 hours, the flow of water in rivers Sutlej, Ravi, Chenab, and Jhelum is likely to increase. However, the increase in water levels is expected to remain within safe limits, ensuring the safety of communities residing near these rivers.
The DG PDMA also informed that currently, there is no water flow in the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan Division, indicating that the region is not at risk of flash floods. The PDMA continues to monitor the situation closely to provide timely updates to the public.
