Karachi: MQM leader MNA Dr. Farooq Sattar announced on Sunday that all of his party leaders and people of Karachi will appear before the court on January 7 for hearing of contempt of court notice Altaf Hussain.
Addressing a rally in support of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain outside the Karachi Press Club, Dr. Farooq Sattar said the census should be conducted prior to the new delimitation of constituencies in Karachi. “if the census was conducted prior to delimitation of constituencies his party would cooperate in the process.”
Verifying the voter lists is also a responsibility of the Election Commission of Pakistan and it is a must to hold census before new electoral delimitation in Karachi. “A census will provide people their rights,” Dr. Sattar added.
MQM leader stressed that the delimitation of constituencies was the responsibility of Election Commission of Pakistan.
He vowed on the occasion that the MQM is ready to render every sacrifice for integrity of Pakistan.
