Israr Saeed-like cases exposed Imran Khan’s real face: Marriyum

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says cases like Israr Saeed are exposing Imran Khan’s reality every passing day.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Tuesday, she said LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed has submitted an affidavit in the court revealing the agenda of fake cases against Shehbaz Sharif by PTI government.

The Minister said Shehzad Akbar and his team were hired for fake cases against Shehbaz Sharif during PTI government. She said Shahzad Akbar was unconstitutionally employed only to make cases against Shehbaz Sharif and political opponents.

She said fake witnesses were also created to justify false cases. She said at the same pattern, LDA chief engineer Israr Saeed was made a witness.

The Minister said we defended our cases by going to the courts while Imran Khan says he is not answerable to court in Billion Tree Tsunami, Tosha Khana and other corruption cases.

FM launches digital power of attorney facility for Overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari formally launched the automation of power of attorney for Overseas Pakistanis in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Addressing the ceremony, Foreign Minister termed it a great achievement of NADRA for the facilitation of overseas Pakistanis and Pakistani missions abroad. He expressed hope that this service will also be available at the foreign office in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman NADRA Muhammad Tariq Malik said, the facility will be available in 197 countries for overseas Pakistanis. He said the launch of digital power of Attorney will enable overseas Pakistanis to avail this facility online that would save their time and money as well.

The Chairman said online video facility has also been provided in this process to make the record accessible in courts. He said for this purpose we have developed modern software. He said all legal obstacles for this purpose were removed with the collaboration of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Overseas Pakistanis can now apply and obtain a PoA from the convenience of their homes, without having to physically visit a Pakistan Foreign Mission which may be located at a significant distance.

It is a fast and secure service facilitating Overseas Pakistanis, who want to give PoA to any person residing in Pakistan.

Under the facility, an applicant will get access to the PoA Portal to create their account by providing their email address along with other details.

Once successfully signed up and authenticated, the executor can lodge PoA by submitting required documents.

Before submitting an online PoA application, applicant must be an overseas Pakistani residing abroad.

DG, IAEA to pay two day visit to Pakistan from Wednesday

Director General, International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Mariano Grossi will be on a two-day visit to Pakistan from tomorrow (Wednesday).

During the visit, he will hold high level meetings and undertake visits to different institutions employing nuclear technology in the fields of health, agriculture, industry and power generation.

The visit will provide an opportunity to Pakistan and the International Atomic Energy Agency to explore avenues for further strengthening their ongoing cooperation in the area of peaceful applications of nuclear technology for the socio-economic development of the country.

Pakistan is a founding Member of the Agency since 1957 and enjoys longstanding and mutually beneficial collaboration with the IAEA.
