14 killed in road accident near Kallar Kahar

Fourteen people were killed and 65 others injured when a bus overturned near Kallar Kahar in Chakwal, on Sunday night.

According to the spokesperson of Motorways Police, the accident occurred to failure of brakes of the bus.

The bus was en route to Lahore from Islamabad, carrying passengers for a wedding ceremony.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the accident.

He directed the authorities concerned to provide best medical facilities to the injured and prayed for those died in the accident.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has directed the Rescue staff to provide every possible assistance to the injured.

Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman and the Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi have expressed sorrow and grief over loss of precious lives in a bus accident in Kallar Kahar.

In separate statements, both expressed condolence with bereaved families and prayed for early recovery of the injured.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi sought a report from Police and Administration and directed to provide the best possible medical treatment to the injured.
