Islamabad: Secretary Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) Zulfiqar Ahmed has reaffirmed the government's commitment to providing world-class healthcare, education, and welfare facilities to workers in line with the vision of Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain. He expressed these views during a visit to Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital in Multan, established with the support of the Workers Welfare Fund.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Secretary visited various departments of the hospital and expressed satisfaction over the quality of healthcare facilities being provided. He urged industrial establishments to submit complete and accurate data of their workers to the Workers Welfare Fund so that the maximum number of workers could benefit from welfare initiatives.
Zulfiqar Ahmed highlighted the Workers Welfare Fund's commitment to implementing the Federal Minister's vision through practical measures aimed at ensuring workers across Pakistan have access to quality healthcare, education, and welfare services. He also emphasized the need to upgrade WWF educational institutions, medical colleges, and vocational training centers to meet international standards, enhancing the global recognition of their academic and professional qualifications.
He expressed satisfaction over the transparent utilization of workers' contributions for their welfare and reaffirmed WWF's continued support for Mukhtar A. Sheikh Hospital to further strengthen it as a world-class healthcare facility. Later, the Secretary visited Fatima Fertilizer Company, where the management briefed him on various initiatives being undertaken for the welfare of its workforce.
Speaking on the occasion, Zulfiqar Ahmed stated that practical measures are being implemented under the leadership of Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain to further improve healthcare, education, and welfare services for workers across the country. He added that when workers prosper, the nation prospers.
