Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has emphasized the necessity of women's equal participation to fully harness the country's economic potential. Addressing the Pakistan Women Leadership and Policy Summit 2026 in Islamabad today, he highlighted the critical role of women empowerment in national development.
According to Radio Pakistan, Gilani called on all stakeholders to promote a practical agenda aimed at enhancing access to finance, digital inclusion, and the growth of women-led enterprises. He also stressed the importance of creating safe workplaces, developing leadership, offering mentorship, and establishing stronger market linkages to support women's roles in the economy.
