Lahore: Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has stated that the world is undergoing a significant transformation, with the global economic landscape evolving at an unprecedented pace due to technological innovation and geopolitical shifts. He made these remarks while addressing the SAFA International Future of Finance Summit 2026, titled 'Reimagining Accountancy: Sustainability, Technology and the Future of Trust,' held in Lahore.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar emphasized that in the current dynamic environment, the role of the accounting and finance profession has become more critical than ever. He highlighted the contributions of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, noting its longstanding commitment to promoting professional standards, enhancing institutional capacity, and contributing to national development.
Ishaq Dar also pointed out that technologies are revolutionizing the analysis of financial information, which is reshaping the global economic framework. The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of adapting to these changes to ensure the continued relevance and effectiveness of the accounting and finance sectors.
