Islamabad:Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary has reaffirmed his commitment to the ongoing anti-encroachment drive in Islamabad, emphasizing that it will proceed without discrimination. He stated that the campaign would target illegal encroachments irrespective of the individuals' status or influence, including those of politicians and businessmen.
According to Radio Pakistan, the anti-encroachment initiative has been active in the federal capital for the past one and a half years. Chaudhary mentioned that the campaign has already addressed illegal constructions in the affluent sectors of the city and along the Islamabad Expressway, operating under a zero-tolerance policy led by the Interior Minister.
Chaudhary also noted that a routine notice was issued to Amanullah, the owner of the property where JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman resides. He clarified that the notice was not related to any major legal construction issues but pertained to a small security cabin and a generator installed on green space.
