Rawalpindi: The security forces, while taking prompt action, have killed the accused, who opened fire on Mall Road in Rawalpindi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the slain accused has been identified as Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Khyber District, and was an active member of PTI. The security sources further said that a party flag, weapons, bullets, and important documents were also recovered from the accused Muhammad Hussain.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar denounced PTI's politics of violence and anarchy. Speaking about the firing by a PTI worker at Mall Road Rawalpindi today, he said there was no reason for the PTI worker to open fire on a security official.
The Minister said violent protests have become a practice of PTI and its workers are armed during the protests. He emphasized that PTI has a track record of violent protests and none of their protests have ever been peaceful.
The Minister deplored PTI's timing of protests in sync with major national and international developments heralding Pakistan's rise. He said this proves that PTI's only agenda is to derail the country's progress and development.
