Muzaffarabad: Polling for the second phase of the AJK Legislative Assembly elections is set to take place in Muzaffarabad Division tomorrow. The elections will cover the general constituencies of the division, as well as twelve seats designated for refugees.
According to Radio Pakistan, refugees from Jammu and Kashmir have emphasized the importance of retaining the twelve reserved seats for refugees, highlighting their necessity in preserving their identity, culture, and representation. These refugees, residing in AJK, have reiterated that their identity, representation, and allegiance to Pakistan remain steadfast and non-negotiable.
They expressed gratitude towards the government and people of Pakistan, acknowledging their unwavering support and solidarity. The refugees noted the consistent support of the Pakistani people, who have stood by Kashmiris through challenging times. To ensure continued representation, the government of Pakistan has allocated twelve seats to uphold the interests of refugees from Jammu and Kashmir.
