Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the expansion of the electric bus service at the tehsil level across the province. Chairing a meeting in the city, she announced that the service will commence in January next year with a plan to introduce 1,500 electric buses in various tehsils.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting was informed that the government aims to have 3,000 electric buses operational across the province by June next year. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance public transportation and reduce environmental impact through the adoption of electric vehicles.
