Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief over the demise of former Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji.
According to Radio Pakistan, in his statement, President Zardari extended heartfelt condolences to the leadership and people of China on the passing of Premier Zhu Rongji. He remarked that Pakistan has lost one of its good friends today and shared the grief of the bereaved family, expressing solidarity with President Xi Jinping and the people of China.
President Zardari highlighted that Premier Zhu Rongji's contributions to strengthening the strategic partnership between Pakistan and China will always be remembered.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his post on X, echoed similar sentiments, stating that Pakistan shares the grief of its iron brother, China, during this sad time.
