PM Appreciates Saudi Crown Prince for Support to Pakistan’s Peace Efforts

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud this evening. During their conversation, the Prime Minister congratulated Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the signing of the historic Islamabad Peace Deal.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his steadfast and consistent support to Pakistan's peace efforts and acknowledged his leadership throughout the crisis. He highlighted that Saudi Arabia's strong support, alongside other Gulf states, was crucial in facilitating the peace deal between Iran and the United States.

In response, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated the Prime Minister and praised the efforts of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, which contributed to the successful signing of the peace deal. Both leaders emphasized the importance of ensuring that the next phase of negotiations between Iran and the U.S. proceeds smoothly, resolving outstanding issues through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and indicated readiness to finalize a comprehensive economic package under the Crown Prince's patronage. He reiterated his invitation for the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan. Additionally, the Prime Minister conveyed his regards and best wishes to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The leaders agreed to maintain close coordination in the upcoming days.
