Pakistan and South Korea to Strengthen Judicial Cooperation

Islamabad:Pakistan and the Republic of Korea have agreed to enhance cooperation between their judicial systems.

According to Radio Pakistan, this agreement was reached during a meeting between Korea's Ambassador Extraordinary to Pakistan, Han Sungho, and Pakistan's Chief Justice, Yahya Afridi, in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Justice Yahya Afridi acknowledged the Supreme Court of Korea's experience in judicial automation and technology-enabled court administration. He noted that closer institutional engagement could support Pakistan's ongoing efforts in automation and digital integration.

The discussions also included a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the judiciaries of both nations. This memorandum is expected to be signed during an upcoming visit of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to Seoul.

Ambassador Han Sungho praised Pakistan's judicial reform initiatives and expressed support for further strengthening judicial cooperation between the two countries.
