Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has emphasized Radio Pakistan's significant contribution to fostering national harmony and cohesion among the citizens. He praised the institution as the voice of the nation during his visit to Radio Pakistan Lahore, highlighting its effectiveness in uniting people.
According to Radio Pakistan, Governor Kundi was greeted by Station Director Dr. Ahmer Sohail Basraa, Controller News Sajjad Parvez, and other staff members upon his arrival. During a briefing on the station's performance, Dr. Basraa elaborated on how Radio Pakistan Lahore is currently broadcasting on both MW and FM channels, delivering entertainment, education, and information to diverse societal groups.
Governor Kundi acknowledged the station's efforts in promoting and preserving the country's literature, music, and culture through its broadcasts. He also expressed the government's commitment to media freedom and its appreciation for media's role in national character-building during an exclusive video podcast with Sajjad Parvez, a representative from Radio Pakistan Lahore.
Concluding his visit, Governor Kundi planted a sapling on the premises of Radio Pakistan Lahore as a gesture of hope for the country's progress and prosperity.
