Islamabad: The selection of intending pilgrims under the Hajj 2027-2030 Policy will be made on a first-come, first-served basis through a digital waiting list. This was announced by the Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, during a news conference in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that intending pilgrims will have the opportunity to register for the Hajj of their preferred year by depositing ten percent of the total estimated Hajj expenditure. Additionally, the policy will introduce multiple Hajj packages of varying durations under the Government Hajj Scheme. Sixty percent of the Hajj quota will be allocated to the Government Hajj Scheme, while the remaining forty percent will be reserved for private Hajj operators.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf emphasized that all Hajj payments will be processed through government-designated banking channels. Furthermore, a third-party audit of all Hajj arrangements will be conducted to ensure transparency.
