Islamabad: Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) is helping bring barren land under cultivation, providing guidance to farmers and promoting agricultural development.
According to Radio Pakistan, Owner of Mehnat Kash Naujawan Farm Asim Awan reported that about eighty percent of the completely barren land allocated to him two years ago has now been brought under cultivation, where wheat, chickpeas, and canola are being grown.
During the crop season, the farm provides employment to around seven hundred to eight hundred labourers, creating jobs and improving livelihoods.
Asim Awan said this is not just an individual success, it is Pakistan's success. He said through this government initiative, no land in the country will remain barren in the future.
