Government Lowers Petrol and Diesel Prices Following Revised Mechanism

Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has announced a reduction in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Petroleum Division issued a notification stating that the price of petrol has been reduced by 0.50 rupees per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been decreased by 0.19 rupees per litre.

These adjustments come as part of the federal government's revised petroleum pricing mechanism, aimed at aligning domestic fuel prices with international market trends and providing relief to consumers. The reductions are expected to impact transportation costs and potentially ease inflationary pressures in the economy.
