Field Marshal Evaluates POF’s Production Capabilities

Pakistan: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Pakistan's largest defence industrial complex, POF, to review its production capabilities, export potential, and contributions to the country's defence industrial base.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Field Marshal was briefed on various aspects of POF's operations, emphasizing its role in strengthening national defence through indigenous development and production of a wide range of military equipment. The visit included witnessing tests and trials of locally designed and manufactured arms and ammunition, underscoring POF's dedication to innovation and self-reliance in enhancing Pakistan's defence production capabilities.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir received an overview of the progress of the corporatisation process following the enactment of the DIPRA Ordinance. He was also informed about ongoing indigenization and upgradation efforts, including the installation of two new industrial plants expected to commence production by the end of the current year. This visit highlighted the military's commitment to advancing self-reliance, indigenous production, and technological innovation in Pakistan's defence sector.
