Lahore: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Chairman Board of Directors, Engineer Amer Zia, has described the company's performance during the fiscal year 2025-26 as unprecedented in the history of Pakistan's power distribution companies (DISCOs).
According to Radio Pakistan, in an exclusive podcast with correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Engineer Amer Zia highlighted LESCO's major achievements, saying the company recorded a 101 percent recovery rate and achieved a historic four percent reduction in line losses. He emphasized the success of the "Apna Meter, Apni Reading" initiative, which allows consumers to upload photographs of their electricity meters along with meter readings through a mobile application on the scheduled date, helping prevent overbilling and enhancing transparency in the billing process.
Engineer Amer Zia also noted that LESCO has digitized its operational systems, enabling data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency and achieve organizational targets. Consumers now have the ability to register complaints through the "LESCO Light" mobile application, where complaints are tracked and monitored to ensure their timely resolution and enhance customer service.
Reaffirming LESCO's commitment to promoting a strong safety culture and delivering quality services to consumers, Engineer Amer Zia announced that 2026 has been designated as the "Year of Safety and Customer Services" across the company.
