Islamabad: A high-level defence delegation of Belarus called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Islamabad today. Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Defence Minister of Belarus, Major General Pavel Nikolayevich Muraveiko, was leading the delegation.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, defence cooperation, and prospects for enhanced military collaboration were discussed. The Chief of the Air Staff reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force's commitment to further strengthening bilateral defence ties, underscoring the importance of expanding cooperation through joint training, exercises, technological collaboration, and defence industrial partnership.
The visiting dignitary appreciated the remarkable progress achieved by the Pakistan Air Force, lauding its operational preparedness, technological advancements, and self-reliance initiatives. He expressed Belarus' commitment to further expanding bilateral defence cooperation.
