Islamabad: Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has emphasized the urgent need for ongoing attention and coordinated efforts to address the challenges posed by the recent floods in Gilgit-Baltistan. He underscored the importance of providing maximum relief to those affected by the natural disaster.
According to Radio Pakistan, Gilani shared these views during a meeting with Malik Kifayatur Rehman, the Deputy Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly, who visited him in Islamabad. The discussions also covered the broader political landscape of Gilgit-Baltistan.
In other engagements, a delegation from the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers, headed by Chairman Usman Aslam Malik, met with Gilani. The meeting focused on issues related to the country's automobile industry.
Additionally, Syed Sajjad Bukhari, the Resident Editor of Khabrain Multan, also met with the Acting President. Their discussions revolved around matters concerning Multan and the South Punjab region. Bukhari expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of South Punjab for Gilani's personal interest in the area's development and progress.
