Muscat:Pakistan and Oman have engaged in discussions focused on increasing employment opportunities, skills development, and labour mobility for Pakistani youth and skilled workers.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions took place in Muscat during a meeting between Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme of Pakistan, and Khalid bin Salim Al Ghammari, Undersecretary at Oman's Ministry of Labour.
During the meeting, Rana Mashhood highlighted Pakistan's efforts to map high-demand skills in destination countries to better align its training programs with international labour market needs. He expressed optimism that Oman would continue to offer employment opportunities for Pakistan's skilled and semi-skilled workforce.
Undersecretary Khalid bin Salim Al Ghammari reassured that the Omani government is committed to working with Pakistan to enhance labour mobility, skills development, and employment prospects for Pakistani workers, with a focus on youth.
