Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the role of tourism in creating livelihoods, supporting local businesses, and boosting economic activity across Pakistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, during his message on World Tourism Day, President Zardari highlighted the country's diverse landscapes and experiences, including the northern mountains, the ancient Indus Valley civilizations, Islamic and Gandhara heritage, as well as its deserts and coastal areas.
The President stressed the importance of protecting Pakistan's natural environment, cultural heritage, and traditions for future generations. He also noted this year's theme, 'Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism,' and acknowledged the significant changes technology and artificial intelligence are bringing to the tourism sector. He emphasized that tourism must remain responsible, inclusive, and beneficial to people and communities.
President Zardari extended an invitation to international travellers to visit Pakistan, experience its hospitality, and witness the country's beauty and diversity firsthand.
