Islamabad: The United Nations Population Fund held an interactive session with media in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute to build a sustained data bank for evidence-based reporting on population, health, and development.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the session, fresh data on youth, population, family planning, and child marriage was unveiled. Addressing the session, Program Specialist UNFPA-KP Dr. Shahid Khan highlighted that the agency's work is anchored in three global goals. These goals include ending preventable maternal deaths, meeting all unmet needs for family planning, and eliminating gender-based violence, pursued through technical support to government and non-government partners.
Speaking on the occasion, SDPI Director Dr. Sajid Amin emphasized that population stabilization is the need of the country.
