Islamabad: The thirty-fourth death anniversary of the legendary news reader of Radio Pakistan, Abdus Salam, is being observed today. Abdus Salam, who also served as a newscaster for Pakistan Television, played a significant role in the broadcasting landscape of Pakistan. He passed away on this day in 1992 in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Abdus Salam's contributions to the field were recognized when he was posthumously awarded the prestigious 'Pride of Performance'. His work continues to be remembered and celebrated, highlighting his enduring legacy in Pakistani media.
