Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the relevant authorities to accelerate the work on ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at the welfare of overseas Pakistanis. He issued these directives during a meeting with Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), and Mohammed Afzaal Bhatti, Managing Director of OPF, who met with him in Islamabad today.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on the initiatives launched by the Foundation to address the challenges faced by overseas Pakistanis. The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of overseas Pakistanis, describing them as a valuable asset to the country due to their significant contributions to foreign exchange through remittances.
During the discussion, the Prime Minister was briefed on the plans to enhance welfare measures and facilities for Pakistanis living abroad. He expressed his satisfaction with the steps already taken by the OPF and instructed the formulation and presentation of a comprehensive plan for further improvement.
The Chairman and Managing Director of OPF commended the Prime Minister for his relentless efforts towards global peace, acknowledging his commitment to the welfare of overseas citizens.
