Cricket Trials Scheduled in Rawalpindi on Saturday: Danyal Chaudhry

Rawalpindi: Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, has announced that cricket trials will be held on Saturday in Rawalpindi. Speaking at the CM Punjab Inter-District Kabaddi Championship 2026 in Rawalpindi today, he emphasized the opportunity for young players to demonstrate their skills based on merit.

According to Radio Pakistan, the trials aim to select ten players from the Under-23 category, two from Under-19, and four from an Open category with no age restriction. Barrister Danyal Chaudhry highlighted that the selected team would compete at the Punjab level, providing a platform for emerging talent.

He stated that, with support from the Sports Board, the players will receive facilities, training, and guidance to help them achieve recognition nationally and internationally. Additionally, he acknowledged the efforts of the kabaddi tournament organizers and the relevant association's role in promoting the sport.
