Lahore: Reverend Dr. Majeed Abel of Nolakha Church asserts that minorities in Pakistan are enjoying equal rights and playing a vital role in the country's development.
According to Radio Pakistan, in an exclusive interview with their correspondent Qasim Bukhari, conducted in connection with National Minorities Day, Dr. Majeed Abel emphasized that minorities are an integral part of the Pakistani nation. He highlighted the positive contributions of minority communities since the creation of the country, noting their involvement across various fields like defense, education, health, and social welfare.
Dr. Majeed Abel also appreciated the steps being taken by the Punjab government for the welfare and protection of minority communities, particularly the initiative of issuing Minority Cards. He described this as a significant move toward ensuring their fundamental rights.
