Wazirabad Bar Association delegation calls on CJ

Islamabad: A 30 member delegation of Wazirabad Bar Association headed by its President Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed Cheema and comprising other office bearers called on Chief Justice Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary in the Supreme Court on Thursday.

Welcoming the lawyers Chief Justice said that “It is a noble profession and legal fraternity should perform their duties with dedication, sincerity and honesty as public have great expectations from the Bench and the Bar therefore both should struggle hard to meet the expectation of public and litigants”. He said that the legal fraternity is an important segment of society as well as judicial system of country.

Talking about the issue of the appointment of Local Commissioners he further said that Local Commissioners under National Judicial Policy have also been appointed with view to facilitate the youngsters and to encourage them in the field of law.

The delegation congratulated the Chief Justice on his birthday. They discussed with the Chief Justice, issues and matters of interest of the legal/judicial fraternity and thanked the Chief Justice for sparing time for them. Further, they discussed the problems faced by them in their professional field like early start of construction work of judicial complex at Tehsil Wazirabad.
