Two cops arrested after accused dies in police station
Karachi: Station House Officer was suspended and two cops were suspended when an accused died allegedly due to police torture in Manghopir police station on Sunday.
As per details, police had arrested accused Khalid last night in suspicion of theft. On Sunday he died in the police station under mysterious circumstances. Later the heirs and area people staged a demo before the police station and burnt tires and junk on streets.
DIG West Javed Odho taking notice of the incident suspended and demoted SHO Manghopir Nasir Mehmood and arrested two policemen, Anwar and Pervez after filing a case against them.
