Karachi: Three more persons including a health worker and bandit were killed in different incidents in Karachi on Tuesday. 35 years old Kaneez Fatima w/o Khadim Hussain, polio vaccinator, was gunned down by unidentified armed men at Sector-E Muhammad Khan Colony, Ittehad Town in the remit of Saeedabad Police Station. However, 25 years old male worker Rashid Ali S/o Liaquat Ali was wounded in firing. Both were residents of said area where they were performing polio duty. The body and injured were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
19 years old alleged bandit Rahim Ullah S/o Yousuf was gunned by citizens at Rehri Goth Road, Landhi area, when he was looting cash from a milk shop in the remit of Sukhan police station. The body was moved to JPMC for autopsy. The slain bandit was wanted to police in various cases.
Separately, a 28 years old man, whose identity could not be ascertained, was knocked to death by a fast-moving vehicle, as he was crossing road near Kutiyana Memon Hospital, Kharadar in the jurisdiction of Baghdadi Police Station. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for postmortem.
In other firing incident 38 years old police constable Muhammad Mithal S/o Taaj Muhammad was injured in encounter with dacoits at Block-7, Safoora Chowk in the remit of Gulistan e Johar Police Station. The bandits entered a private bank branch to loot it, when the cop offered resistance. The bandits opened fire and injured the constable. Later, they managed to flee.
The injured was shifted to nearby Memon Medical Centre Hospital for treatment.
