Islamabad: The Senate on Wednesday unanimously passed three condolence resolutions expressing deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Senators Wali Muhammad Badini, Salahuddin Dogar and former Senator Jam Haji Kararuddin.
The resolutions appreciated the services of the late Senators for their contributions in the business of the House, political system of the country and their services for the public welfare.
The House through the resolutions prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His countless blessings and rest the departed souls in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
Salahuddin Dogar was elected as Senator in 2009 from the province of Punjab, while Mir Wali Muhammad Badini was elected as Senator in 2009 from Balochistan. Senator Jam Haji Kararuddin was elected Senator from the province of Sindh in 1991 and 1997.
The House also offered Fateha for the departed souls.
The resolutions were moved by Leader of the House Jahangir Badr. The business of the House was adjourned to pay tributes to the late Senators.
Leader of the House Jahangir Badr said that the later senators were seasoned politician and they played vital role in the legislation history of the country. He said their services will be remembered for long time.
Leader of the Opposition, Ishaq Dar while paying tributes to the late Senators said that their role in the political system and running business of the House was exemplary. He said all the members of the House are deeply grieved over their sad demises.
Others who spoke on the occasion include Kalsoom Parveen, Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, Sardar Fateh Muhammad Hassani, Haji Muhammad Adeel, Kamil Ali Agha, Nasir Ahmad Mengal, Saeeda Iqbal, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Saleh Shah, Saeedul Hassan Mandokhel and Maula Bakhsh Chandio.
