Karachi: Arham Abidi, a 15-year-old Pakistani scrabble player, won the warm-up tournament on Thursday in Birmingham ahead of the World Youth Scrabble Championship.
Thirty-six players including some of the world’s top rated adult players participated along with youth players in this tournament.
Little Arham making his debut in the tournament, won all of his ten matches. He was the only player that remained unbeaten in the tournament.
Another Pakistani player Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan won the prize for making the highest in one move score of 194.
The World Youth Scrabble Championship has started on Friday. An eight-member team from Pakistan consisting of four girls and four boys is taking part in the prestigious championship.
