Rulers trying to escape from elections: Mumtaz

Tando Adam, Sindh: The sitting rulers are trying to escape from the elections, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, addressing a press conference here on Sunday.

He said for last 16 years he had remained away from the parliamentary politics but if the PPP leader Faryal Talpur fought election from Larkana he would also contest the polls from Larkana constituency. He said in Sindh people protested against the dual local government system but the government paid no heeds. He said now the people of Sindh have to follow the footsteps of Tahirul Qadri to force the rulers to accept their demands.

He said presently Pakistan was facing immense challenges and only the PML-N has the capability to steer the country clear from these issues. He alleged that the sitting rulers broke all records of corruption. He said today whole world laughs on Pakistan when our rulers ban use of motorcycles and mobile phones to control crimes.

He said in Sindh and Balochistan people face immense problems, as the past chief minister of Balochistan used to run the government from London, while the administrative skills of Sindh chief minister are hidden from no one.

Mumtaz Bhutto said he spend 26 years in nationalist politics to guide the people of Sindh but they paid no heeds and later no option was left for him but to join the PML-N, because it endorsed the manifesto of his previous party Sindh National Party. He said on the issue of Kalabagh Dam the policy of PML-N is loud and clear that the dam should not be built until all four provinces are agreed.

Muhammad Ayub Shah, Ghulam Mustafa Marri, Mir Malook Talpur and other leaders were present.
